Welcome to Southwest Trading Company of Spruce Pine, N.C. We are located in a small beautiful town halfway between Boone and Asheville, and we have the passionate desire to provide our customers with only the finest in home furnishings.

Southwest Trading Company opened for business in September of 2000 offering several different types of Southwestern and Mexican made furniture. After several years of amazing business, the owners Dean and Fran Buchanan sold out to Donnie and Robin Beard in November of 2003.

In October 2007, Gregg and Lisa Henline, both hometown natives, bought the spacious business with a longing for local business in the downtown area of Spruce Pine. Gregg is known for his previous store, the Radio Shack in Newland, N.C. which he operated for 9 years. He is also on the Spruce Pine Town Board, aiding him in his enthusiasn for downtown Spruce Pine and its businesses.

Now, Southwest Trading Company carries all of your home furnishing needs. With local, Amish, and Southwestern made furniture, we also offer the finest in home accessories including: classic wildlife paintings in rustic frames; Donna Sharp quilts, handbags, and other accessories; rustic and Tiffany lamps; intarsia art; water fountains; wall hangings; collectible bears from the Bearfoots collection; and local Spruce Pine paraphernalia including T-shirts and hats.
